Graston® Technique - Brooklin

Graston Technique Brooklin
Return to Services page

Graston® Technique is a technique which uses customized surgical grade stainless steel instruments (instead of the Doctor's hands) to treat muscles, bones, and nerves that are tight and stiff.  Graston® also addresses fascia (the connective tissue covering muscles) and restrictions that can be present between different layers of fascia.

What is fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds a muscle.  Fascia provides a set of tracks, which allow forces to travel through the body from one area to another.  In tight and sore muscles, the fascia can restrict the motion of the muscle.  When there is a restriction in fascia, the forces cannot be transmitted properly, and movement patterns become altered - your body doesn't work properly!

How does Graston® Technique help?

Graston Technique Brooklin Ontario
Graston® Technique restores strength and  re-alignins the fascia, even when the fascial restrictions are from old scar tissue, such as a direct cut from surgery. Graston® Technique breaks down scar tissue and encourages regrowth in an orderly, functional pattern.  Therefore restoring proper movment to your muscles.
